V. Our help is in the name of the Lord.
R. Who has made heaven and earth.

V. Be to her, O Lord, a tower of strength.

V. Send help to her, O Lord, from Your holy place.
R. And watch over her from Mount Sion.
V. Lord, hear my prayer.
R. And let my cry reach up to You.
V. The Lord be with you.
R. And with your spirit.
Let us pray.
Almighty, everlasting God,
You have granted to your servants,
in their profession of the true faith,
to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity
and to adore Its unity in the power of Its majesty.
We ask that this your handmaid (insert name),
by her constancy in that same faith,
may ever be strengthened against all evils,
through Christ our Lord.
R. Amen.
O Lord God,
creator of all things,
mighty and awe-inspiring,
just and merciful,
You alone are kind and loving.
You set Israel free from every evil,
making our forefathers Your beloved people,
and made them holy by the power of the Holy Spirit.
You also prepared,
by the co-working of the Holy Spirit,
the body and soul of the glorious Virgin Mary,
that it might become a worthy home for Your Son.
You filled John the BaptIst with the Holy Spirit,
having him leap with joy in his mother’s womb.
Receive the sacrifice of a contrite heart,
and the ardent desire of Your handmaid (insert name),
who humbly begs You for the welfare of the child
you have allowed her to conceive.
Watch over the work which is Yours,
and defend it from all the deceit and harm of our bitter enemy.
Let the hand of Your mercy assist her delivery,
and bring her child to the light of day without harm.
May her child be preserved for the holy regeneration of baptism,
serve You always in all things,
and attain to everlasting life,
through the same Jesus Christ,
Your Son, our Lord who lives and is King and God with You,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
for ever and ever.
R. Amen.
(Then the woman is sprinkled with holy water, and after which Psalm 66 is said.)
May God have pity on us and bless us;
may he let his face shine upon us.
So may your way be known upon earth;
among all nations, your salvation.
May the peoples praise you, O God;
may all the peoples praise you!
May the nations be glad and exult
because you rule the peoples in equity;
the nations on the earth you guide.
May the peoples praise you, O God;
may all the peoples praise you!
The earth has yielded its fruits;
God, our God, has blessed us.
May God bless us,
and may all the ends of the earth fear him!
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
R. Amen
V. Let us bless the Father, and the Son with the Holy Spirit.
R. Let us praise and exalt Him forever.
V. God has commanded His angels concerning you.
R. That they may guard you in all your ways.
V. Lord, hear my prayer.
R. And let my cry reach up to You.
V. The Lord be with you.
R. And with your spirit.
Let us pray.
Visit, we beg of You, O Lord,
this dwelling, drive far from it,
and from Your handmaid (name) all the snares of the enemy.
Your holy angels dwell here to keep her and her child in peace,
and may Your blessing be always upon her.
Save them, O almighty God
and grant them Your eternal light,
through Christ our Lord.
R. Amen.
