Prayer for the Intercession of St. Joseph in Dark Times

To you, blessed Joseph, we come in our trials, and having asked the help of your most holy spouse, we confidently ask your patronage also. Through that love which bound you to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God, and through the fatherly care with which you embraced the child Jesus, we humbly beg you to look kindly upon the inheritance which Jesus Christ has purchased by his blood, and to aid us in our necessities with your power and strength.

Most watchful guardian of the Holy Family, defend the followers of Jesus Christ; most loving father, defend us against the attacks of the evil one and assist us in our struggle against the power of darkness. As once you rescued the child Jesus from danger, so now protect God¡¯s holy Church from the power of Satan and from all harm. Shield, too, each one of us by your constant protection, so that, supported by your example and your help, we may be able to live as dedicated followers of Jesus Christ, die a holy death, and obtain eternal happiness in heaven. Amen.
